The support braces included 6" and 3",both are slotted to adjust to many tractor models.Need drilling to mount.
The Tractor Hitch has 3 Attachment Points.Allows use of a standard 3/4" Shank Ball and 5/8" hole for cart towing.Will extend ball out 5"- 6" depends on tractor model.

- Question 1: Will that work for a John Deere riding mower?
- Answer:Works like it should, very good idea to increase usages.
- Question 2: Is hitch notched at rear bottom to allow for ridges on tractor plate?
- Answer:No, however there are two holes in the base plate for additional mounting bolts (not supplied).
- Question 3: Width of the slotted hole in the center that would attach to an existing hitch hole? Will 3/4 inch bolt fit? Can it be used with just the one bolt?
- Answer:3/4 inch is size of bolt sent with package. I will be using just the 3/4 inch bolt plus the support braces.
- Question 4: Will this hitch fot the John Deere x500 series tractors?
- Answer:Yes, I use this hitch regularly on my John Deere X540. Can still put three suitcase weights on with the hitch mounted. I pull a 5x8 trailer with no problem, plugger, JD cart, and a yard sweeper with no problem.

Great lawn tractor tow hitch
I modified the assembly slightly to better fit my Lawn Tractor. The back of the lawn tractor is way stronger now and can easily tow any of my trailers around the yard (up and down hills) even with a full load of wood on the 8 foot by 4 foot by 2 feet high sides , dump trailer.
