Outstanding Fast SD Card Reader

First the Pro's: Very fast on a USB 3.0 port with a fast SD Card. Solid feel construction and very small. Works with SDHC (I haven't tried SDXC yet) cards. Great Price for what you get! Firmware Upgradable. Con's: None yet. My opinion: I was in need of a SDHC card reader as my internal computer card reader wouldn't handle the cards above 2GB capacity. I found this product at Walmart online, quite shocked they would carry a quality item for such a good price. I have used the item on two different cards and it is fast when using a USB 3.0 port. If you use a USB 2.0 port well you slow down to the maximum speed of that port which is still good when you need to read/write to an SDHC card. The firmware of the reader is upgradable from Transcend to ensure compatibility with future SD cards, likely SDXC since this capacity/format is just now becoming more popular. I strongly recommend this product if you are in the market for a simple quality SD card reader even if you do not have a USB 3.0 port as this will maximize your speed in a USB 2.0 port and it is designed to be somewhat future-proof, a very nice touch.

If you only need a reader for SD and SD micro cards, this is the one for you. It's the size of a USB memory stick and functions at USB 3.0 speed. It is also backward compatible for use on USB 2.0 ports.
