Nice applicator, works well for arthritis pain.

The sponge works well for applying the gel. Check the ingredients. I had bought the Capzasin-HP creme which is Capsaicin 0.1%, and this gel is only Capsaicin 0.025% and menthol 10%. Both products work great but the creme is stronger and more effective than the gel with sponge applicator. Both are warm feeling even tho this has menthol in it Hope it helps you too..

PAIN RELIEF

EXCELLENT PRODUCT - MAKE SURE TO WASH HANDS COMPLETELY AFTER APPLICATION. IF YOU DON'T WANT THAT MENTHOL SMELL, USE THIS PRODUCT. READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USE.

Be Very Careful With Capzasin!

I started using Capzasin years ago just to try to get through the day after developing sciatica from sitting in broken chairs or, worse yet, chairs that were too big for me during 12-hour work shifts and I've come to rely on it now that I've damaged my kidneys by using Ibuprofen daily for relief from that same condition. Capzasin takes a while to work because it takes a topical pain reliever longer to reach the nerves. Once this starts to work though it's a great help if you continue to use it regularly. You need to be extremely careful with it and wear gloves when you apply it and rub it in well. If you get it on your hands, it's next to impossible to wash it off. Dawn dish soap used to take it off, but CA removed the phosphates from laundry and dish soaps so they can't break down oils any more, and Capzasin on your hands means it gets in your eyes, your mouth, on your contact lenses, and everything else you touch. The applicator tip eventually falls off, and you can't rub the lotion into your skin as you should with it anyway; but aside from that, I like this brand, but as with everything else, it's getting priced out of reach.
