I bought this to cook red Loctite (permanent) off small metal parts and it worked like a charm. Good for small targeted applications. It's really a great 'pocket torch' if you know how to use it... 1. Slow press the button and will always light by second click. 2. Turn the fuel flow up on your lighter. - If you know anything about disposable lighters that have adjustable fuel flow, they are very different between each. - To get the most out of your pocke torch, use a disposable lighter and, if necessary, temporarily remove the metal wind-guard in order to lift and re-seat the adjustment ring. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can probably Google something about this. - This will help to ensure you've got enough butane flowing for this little beast.
