I purchased the dark brown for my husband after he had allergic reactions to other beard dyes. The application is easy but the he was startled by how dark the color became during processing. However, once it was rinsed, it was the exact shade it was supposed to be. The only reason for the reduced rating is that the color did not "take" in one small area. Next time he will leave it on a few minutes more. Bottom line is no irritation, a bit more expensive than store brands, but absolutely worth it.
