Really helped during this winter's snow-crete event. Having to navigate across the snow-crete to take care of the animals was so much less treacherous. It lost a star on the "putting on" category, but that only makes sense. They need to be tight to stay on if you break through the crust.

These work great on packed snow and ice, but not so great indoors -- actually feels unstable when walking on tile or hardwood floors. I wear men's size 8 shoes so I bought the "Small" -- fits really tight on my LL Bean Mocs, and won't fit over size 8 boots, so buy a size larger if you're close to the size-boundary and you want to use these over outdoor boots. But, they really really help on slippery packed snow and ice.
