This is a cheerful story about La Madelon, an Andalucian transvestite and a communist. Upstanding, witty, tender, emotional and lucid, she broke down on the night of February 23, 1981 when she heard of the police assault in the Spanish Congress. Surrounded by the beautiful speech of the southern people, these are her memories of that night. In this fervent declaration of love of liberty, are in some way represented all those Spaniards who had to live clandestine lives for years due to political, cultural, economic or sexual reasons.
