The footrest is really easy to lift with tre remote control to lift the footrest was the deciding factor to getting thiis chair. my only complaint is the pocket that is not as easy to reach as I expected, so I just put it on the arm of the chair or small table beside the chair.

the instructions were bit sketchy. took about an hour for 2 of us. love the fabric. the recline motor is amazingly quick. it is not the sturdiest chair. i bought it for hip replacemnt recovery. i slept in it for 5 days! used it everyday for 3 weeks. up down lean back, sit up. no issues what so ever. for the cost if the chair , i would buy it again
