These don't block out ALL light(you can see the square) but they did block a lot, enough that the brightest room doesn't hurt my eyes anymore, as I have migraines (the square isn't glaring bright). The fabric is more linen texture in person which I like.

We recently had a glass sliding door installed at our house, and as much as we love all the light coming through it, sometimes it's too much; the house also got colder faster during winter and that's when we decided that we needed to install curtains. I was able to find these curtains that come in different sizes, I got one that covers all the door entirely, not just blocking most of the light, but also keeping the house warmer. The curtains have a beautiful pattern that goes well with the wall's color and the furniture around it, so it's just what we needed. They are not cheaply made so I highly recommend them, see the pictures for reference.
