Great for Circular Knitting Projects

The needles are easy to use and seem to be good quality. They meet my needs and make circular knitting easier than using four needles.

Circular Needle review

This circular knitting needle is just what I needed for my project. Verry happy with item and with the service of Wal Mart in acquiring it. I should have known - Wal Mart has just about everything I need for for knitting projects!

Boye needles are the very BEST

These are my favorite needles in every way -- I never willingly use any other kind. The surface is smooth and glides easily, never sticks. The Perfection Points are exactly that -- precise enough for lace work and cables, but not sharp enough to make fingers sore (like Susan Bates needles, which are agonizing). The most important part of a cable needle is how they joined the cable to the needle. These needles have an ergonomic bend which matches the curve of your palm. Unlike many brands that have an abrupt joining that snaps easily and doesn't last, the Boye needles joining is long, giving the cable a good grip on the metal, and the actual join seems to be screwed in -- very strong and durable. The cable is more firm than many other brands, which makes it easier to push the work along without constantly bending the joining. This can make it a little trickier if you're doing "Magic Loop" -- using long cable needles for a smaller project. But there are many uses for different types of needles, and Boye is the needle for all seasons. I've gotten rid of most of my other needles -- especially bamboo. (They seem like a good idea, and look great, but they react too much to temperature and humidity, and become sticky under changing conditions, and annoying to work with. Plus the tips are so blunt, they're clumsy for anything but plain knitting.) Addi is too shiny (like someone flashing a mirror in my eyes while I'm trying to concentrate), and too blunt and slippery. OK for plain stockinette, but also clumsy for fancier work. Plus their join is too abrupt, and looks like it won't last. Boye is what I always choose -- anything else is a step down.
