you cant add new codes, so i suggest doing a bit of research just to make sure all your games are covered. if not, look for the older, slightly more expensive model that lets you program in your own codes from the internet. the list is extensive and includes europe and japan games on separate lists. i dont own any of those so im not entirely sure if that allows your US gamecube to play region exclusive games but i read somewhere that it did. the console has no problem reading the non licensed disc, and the code activation is seamless and even gives you warnings about what codes not to combine and when not to use some of them, to prevent game crashes. my only complaint is that it doesnt bring a case to carry it in, so unless you find a way to keep it in the plastic box it comes in, you have a lose disc laying around unprotected. it was also shipped free, which i assume is the reason the price is so high for something this old and not in demand, but it arrived within the week i ordered it.
