Okamiden NDS US Version - Descendant of Amaterasu's Journey

The story takes place a few months after the ending of the previous installment 'The Great God'. The first protagonist Amaterasu (commonly known as "Ama" by players) defeated the Yagi Orochi and brought peace and light to the world before returning to Takamagahara. 

However, peace is short-lived. A new dark force suddenly descended, once again enveloping the entire China (Japan). Plants and trees wither, monsters run rampant, and the world is once again in crisis. 

Amidst the pervasive darkness, a new guardian was born. It is Chibiterasu, the son of the first great god Amaterasu. Xiao Zhao is a petite, cute but equally divine little wolf that inherits its mother's will and some strength (Thirteen stroke tone), but is not yet mature enough. 

In order to fight against darkness and purify the world, Xiao Zhao needs to descend to the mortal world. In the human world, it met its destined companion - a young demon slayer named Kuni. Ninety nine's grandfather was the companion of Amaterasu in the previous work, the "One Inch Mage". The two (wolves) hit it off and decided to embark on an adventure together.
