Very Practical

All functions of the blade and emergency tools were tested to good effect. Ripped through tough nylon and belt material, punctured glass, and sawed fibrous material with ease. The tanto angle gives a great box opener capability, but to preserve the blade, I would recommend using the glass breaker stud to drag along a tape line, which works quite well. As for the grip, I will be adding some skateboard tape, a granulated finish, to improve the slick nylon handles that it comes with, but that's optional and arguably only for self-defense use cases. For lint buildup from EDC, I'd suggest an ultrasonic cleaner, and some aftermarket lube, I used gun lube for the hinge which made it quieter, smoother, and retained its resistance to opening while folding. All in all, best folder I've owned thus far, by a good margin.

I bought this thinking that it would not stand up to the harsh rigors of cutting a seatbelt, clothing, webbing, line, rope, etc. I was severely wrong about this! This knife is sharp, strong, and gets the job done! I am super thankful I got this knife and use it all the time at work and when I volunteer. If you are looking for a great EDC rescue knife, this is the one for you!

Great Knife For First Responders

I bought this knife for myself and one for my wife, both of us firefighters and EMTs. The window punch and seat belt cutter were a huge draw. This knife is substantial enough to actually break a window. I have also trained with edged weapons, and I was attracted to the tanto blade. The seat belt cutter also sits in a good position to prevent blade run up. Finally, this is my EDC knife, so most of its use will be utilitarian. The half serrated blade will be great for this. I have owned several CRKT knives and had great luck with them. This one appears to be very well designed and durable, as well.
