Very versatile and fun rod

Got this rod a few weeks ago for use from my kayak and I'm very glad I did. I just got back from a long weekend in the Sierras and the rod exceeded my expectations. It cast beautifully from the kayak and handled wind and calm with equal grace. I also used it for some small stream fishing and that's where it truly excelled -if you need one rod I think this is it!

Great small stream fly rod

I added one of these 6'6" small stream rods and found it to be not just adequate but a good value compared to some of the pricier rods. I especially liked the sliding ring reel seat which are hard to find in lesser priced rods these days. It doesn't exactly compete with my 1972/73 FF605 2pc. 6' UL Fly Rod but for price, it can't be beat.
