Oxymizer Pendant

I found the hard Oxymizer Pendant cannula to be very uncomfortable, causing nasal irritation inside my nostrils. No reason this oxygen cannula could not be made softer like the soft cannulas I normally wear. Please discuss this with the people who manufacture it. Maybe the whole thing could be made softer? Thanks.

Pendant Nasal O2 Cannula

I suffer from severe Pulmonary Fibrosis & require supplemental O2 X 24HRS/day. As a result of my illness, I required 10L/minute at rest & 15L/minute during activity via a standard nasal cannula. Yes, there are minor design problems with the nasal portion. However, I have found that using humidified oxygen, Arm & Hammer "Simply Saline Nasal Mist" and "Ayr Saline Nasal Gel" make the cannula far more tolerable. Furthermore, my oximetry confirms that I am able to tolerate a lower oxygen flow. The lower your oxygen, the lower the probability of developing "Oxygen Toxicity" (Google it).

Highly Effective But Uncomfortable and Cumbersome

As a constant flow oxygen patient, I find the Oxymizer extremely helpful in lowering the LPM that I require during routine exercise and activities. The drawback is the HARD plastic tubing and cannula which is very inflexible. In cold weather it's virtually impossible to use. Even the nostril portion is a very hard plastic. I would give 5 stars and highly recommend this product if there were not so many design flaws.
