The Incredible 5-Point Scale (Other)

Supporting emotional regulation has become a critical priority in effective programming for students with ASD. The Incredible 5-Point Scale was one of the first practical supports to help all partners recognize and teach students to become aware of their state of regulation. The Significantly Improved and Expanded Second Edition of the now classic resource expands on the core idea of the original scale by providing current clinical examples of how to use the scale across different age groups and functioning levels. New scales are offered specifically designed for young children and those individuals with more classic presentations of autism, including an expanded use of the Anxiety Curve. Another addition is a list of goals and objectives related to incorporating scales in students' IEP's.
