Unbelievable!

I used Sharkbite fittings today for the first time for a bathroom upgrade and was planning to use PEX along with my existing copper. I saw the Sharbite fittings at the store and after I realized they worked on both copper and PEX I decided to give them a try. I used the deburing/depth tool that was available on all the copper I cut and installed 2 tees on copper, 4 elbows on both copper and PEX, 4 elbows on PEX, 2 shut off valves on copper and 2 shut off valves on PEX. I even had to take a couple of the fittings apart to adjust pipe lengths (not something you can do to easily with soldered joints) and also liked the fact that you can rotate everything even after you make the connections. I am not a professional plumber, but I've been doing my own plumbing for over 40 years and I may never solder a copper fitting again. Sharkbite is amazing and unbelievable easy to use. Thanks.

Fitting pops off

Used this on advice of hardware versus crimping pex. I watched sharkbite videos, went to sb website and read instructions. Made clean cuts, cleaned up with scotchbrite and wiped clean with clean rag. SB stuck fine to the pex line, but repeatedly let go of the copper, though I pushed all the way to the line. Holding enough for me to shower up and go, but will turn off water before I leave house and make appointment with a plumber for a proper fix.
