Selkirk 206400 206400 6 In. D 28 Ga. Stainless Steel Anchor Plate

This Selkirk base was a part of the product line which was not carried in stock at any of the regional hardware stores nor readily displayed in the Selkirk product line on line yet was critically useful in supporting the Selkirk cleanout tee required when passing the chimney through the wall and beyond the eves and gutters so as to avoid penetrating the roof system. In this application it proved to be necessary to cut back the fluted stainless chimney extension (which does not show on the product picture) so as to allow the cleanout plug which comes with the tee to recess back into the bottom of the tee. I found it easy to use a 4 inch Ryobi grinder to reach into the 6 inch pipe to make the cutout. The plate base itself was extremely sturdy of heavy plate stainless and predrilled to accept a 3/8 inch bolt at each corner. To these I secured stainless angle brackets to bracing I had fabricated to fully support the vertical run of chimney above the tee. To secure the cleanout plug I added two more angle brackets to the base of the plate and passed a removable 3/8 inch bolt horizontally below the plug. I was amused that delivery was delayed three days beyond anticipated delivery by reason of customs clearance to collect less than $2 of US customs.
