More decoration than functional ☹️
Unfortunately the quality of these products (bought another side table) is lower than expected. The drop leaf table looks ok, but extending the sides was not easy (manipulate pieces of wood against wooden wedges stapled onto the table underside ...). The extensions are not very stable. Also, it was impossible to screw in the support bar at the base with the screws provided. Both tables look nice OK on the surface, but poorly made in China once you look underneath. Not worth sending back with the shipping costs, but will be unlikely to buy more from this Butler line. ☹️
