Well laid out

I have two 27" monitors and one 14" laptop. This mount did exactly what I had hoped it would do. It definitely cleaned up my desktop to allow more useable work space. My only complaint is that where the hole is on the standing desk that is designed for this monitor mount places the monitors closer to the user than I'd prefer. The major issue is the size of the monitor at this point. I might have to change the resolution to make it feel more appropriate.

Functionality great but quality.... eh so so.

Love the style, layout options, idea of design! Problem is the mounting design and install need to be revised and re-worked ASAP! I Mounted to my stand up desk converter and did both clamp then permanent mount by drilling through the top for installation. Clamp mount could not get tight enough for the weight and wanted to spin/walk as I adjust monitors etc. so I switched to the permanent mount which involved drilling a single hole. Post/mount didn't walk anymore but now only spun where the post met the desk. Also I couldn't tighten the SINGLE bolt that went through the desk into the mount because the threads on the plate tack welded inside the post was so loose I was afraid I would strip the threads if I tightened to torque needed to stop the spinning. Frustrated at this point I went to the hardware store and bought enough screws long enough to reach the 3 threads used for the clamp installation method. Once I drilled three more holes in the desk and added 3 holes in the baseplate that is sandwiched between the desk top and post bottom I was able to tighten all three bolts enough to keep the post tight and now the post is not able to spin at all. If this didn't work next option was to weld the post to the baseplate and drill holes in baseplate that would have shown exposed bolts but I'd rather engineer the unit to work like I'm sure was intended from the factory just with a better anchor layout. This pretty much wasted an entire 8hr day once I installed the unit both times per instructions, then modified and installed my way a third time. I also had to disassemble the knuckles that join the monitors to the arms... the fine adjustment for height at the knuckles were so loose the monitors would just shake... very annoying when trying to type in stand up mode. Had to bend the metal plates that act as the slide to reduce the play. In total additional costs accrued making this work was 3 - 10mm hex head bolts, washers, and nuts, one drill bit the exact size for the bolts to limit any play between the desk, baseplate, and post and one day of labor which in my field I would charge $600.00. Roughly $620.00 to make it work. Other than that I love the system! Saves a lot of room without having a base for every monitor and laptop! I should patent my version today to maybe recoup money from my time spent fixing the design! Factory design was a good attempt but end result was more like they gave it the ole "college try" and obviously have never field tested the product prior to putting it on the market. Instead let everyone else to do the work for them. Maybe the original design was good quality but then went cheap on mass production... who knows. Three stars is for the idea, zero for quality and design of the mount.
