I myself am my best form of advertisement for my business. When I go into a gas station or grocery store and the lady at the checkout compliments my nails I say "Thank You, I do them myself. I own a mobile nail salon." and ask if she would like a business card. I get MANY new clients this way. Therefore, it is important to keep my nails looking as flawless as possible at all times. This is EXTREMELY difficult as I often work with acetone which is used to REMOVE artificial nails and gel polish (because it literally eats away at both, for those of you who aren't familiar with the process). I've tried many different gloves but I have the same issues every time...one wrong movement and my long nails pop through the ends within minutes of putting them on... BUT NOT WITH THESE. I have been on the hunt for a glove that doesn't cost a fortune but will stand up against sharp tools, acetone, and most importantly my own very long, sharp, and sometimes pointy, artificial nails. These bad boys just might be my new GO-TO glove. I have been using a size small rubber dish glove when working with acetone to avoid ruining my own nails, bit it's very difficult to grip some of my tools because they're so thick. These gloves are both thin and thick at the same time... Let me explain... They feel just as thin as your average rubber glove that your doctor would used for an exam, but they are MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more durable. They seem to be VERY well made. Upon receiving my package I opened the gloves, tried one on and (having read reviews about their durability) decided to test their strength. At first I pulled them JUST taught over my nail...then a little tighter... Tighter... Eventually I pulled and pulled trying to pop one of my nails through and I kid you not, I COULD NOT DO IT for the life of me!!! (see photos) Every other glove I have EVER tried (aside from dish gloves) has always broke while filing my clients nails. I do not see that being an issue with these gloves. I haven't tried them with acetone yet because I was so excited to see that they couldn't be punctured by my nails that I just had to get on and write this review, but I will be sure to update once I do. If these stand up against acetone, my search ends here!!! This will be the only Salon glove that I stock. As for size I am typically a size small but I buy medium to accommodate my nail length as I usually have to make room for my long nails. Therefore I played it safe and went with medium in these as well. I probably could have gone with a small (and definitely will when I re-order) since they can be stretched to heaven and back without tearing. I took photos next to a Samsung S8 edge for size comparison. I have a little extra room but not so much that they're baggy and in the way by any means. They tighten up nicely when I close my fist (see photo) and I can still hold and use all of my tools comfortably. If you're looking for a good sturdy glove and on the fence about these, go for it. You won't be disappointed. If you found this review helpful, don't forget to hit the HELPFUL button below! Thanks!
