Schlage FB50NPLY605 Bright Brass Plymouth Keyed Knob Front Entry Set

This works better and easier than the existing doorknob I replaced! Been buying Schlage for years for my own personal projects and my contracting projects!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the lockset installed but was having difficulty with the deadbolt. After looking more closely I realized that my door had begun to sag slightly (after 20+ yrs) so the deadbolt wasn't entering the strikeplate squarely in the middle. It was hitting the plate below its opening, preventing proper operation. So, after tightening the mounting screws for the strkeplate I filed the lower edge of the plate until the deadbolt was able to enter completely into the opening of the strkeplate. Then, I tightened all screws and everything worked great. Schlage products are not only very well-made, including their focus on security and durability of their finishes but are easy to modify when the need arises, like it did for me today.
