Pairs needed apparently (?)

The RAM works perfectly. However I it was not explained in the product information that you need RAM in GB pairs. I was hoping to add this 2 GB purchase to the pre-existing, original 1GB, but the guy at the installation place said it wasn't working, and I needed to ditch the original 1GB. I say that -assuming this is correct - this fact should be made explicit in the product information page. Not a big issue though, just a bit of a letdown.

Just what I'd expect

Used this to upgrade my early 2008 aluminum Mac Book to better handle an upgrade to Mountain Lion (I hadn't upgraded since Snow Leopard). Hard to say which made the bigger improvement since I did both simultaneously, but it feels like I have a brand new computer now. The speed at which my machine runs is remarkable compared even to what it was running Snow Leopard. I think my battery life is even a little better, as well. I'd highly recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade RAM.

The memory works perfectly. Getting it into my computer was another story. I lacked the proper tools. It would be difficult, but computer specific instructions would be very helpful. The name and size of the exact tool along with the number and specific location of the screws to be removed would be most helpful. Fortunately I have a service contract, so I just took it to them and in a few minutes they had the additional memory in and working fine.
