The Intimate Journey To Desires (Paperback)

INTRODUCTION:

Unwrapping the process to having an awareness of knowing and then embracing the desires of your heart is to be your focus. I call it your "Sweet Spot." It is the place where faith, trust and abundant joy intersect in the desires of your heart.Psalm 37:3-5 and Proverbs 3:5-6 will help you DELIGHT yourself in the Lord and discover your Sweet Spot.

'Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He will do it.' (Psalms 37:3-5 NASB)

'Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.' (Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT)

I've purposefully chosen these two familiar passages of Scriptures to better illustrate how much it pleases the Lord to bless you with His very best (the desires of your heart and the clarity we need to choose and then follow His path). All He requires is trust.

Before you even begin to enter the world of intimacy (between you and God and then Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, and Physical intimacy with your meaningful relationships), I must ask the question:

what is the desire of your heart?

• Have you asked for God to give you His, for you?

• For you, in a meaningful relationship if you are single, is your goal to "desire" marriage?

• Or is your desire learning to be content with a healthy singleness? And if you are already married the same principles and need for intimacy applies to you as well.

• Are you sure about either?

This is where it is of great importance to TRUST the Lord to do His work in your heart. This is where the word "delight" comes from: to become like pliable clay. It means not to go into the great promises of this passage of scripture with a preconceived, biased, approach. It must be with "open hands, bended knee. Lord, I seek Your will."

Going into this study about the power of intimacy, you need to come with a desire to not only study and then learn what God's Word says about intimacy but also be willing to apply what you have learned.

It is my honor to serve as your "tour guide" as I lead you through three parts of The Intimate Journey To Desires. In Part One, you will learn about the "Intimacy Of God" and how He is perfectly intimate within Himself: Father, Son, and Holy Spirt. Part Two will introduce you to how to develop an authentic "Intimacy With God." Finally, in Part Three: "Intimacy With Each Other." You will be presented with four practical five point assessments for those who desire a healthy perspective in the areas of Emotional, Spiritual, Intellectual, and Physical intimacy.
