I brought this to give to my 1 year old grand daughter on her sister's bday. Her sister turns 3 years old. She is little. The little phone is adorable. It is vintage. You can pick up the phone %26 talk like the older phone %26 hang it up. It rings %26 makes noises. When the baby pulls it with the string the eyes move up %26 down. It smiles. This pulling will help with gross motor skills. They will have sensory with the vivid colors. They can play %26 imagine . I think it will be nice play time toy. It came in a box ready to wrap.
