Strongway Spike Lawn aerator

I ordered it for my son in law for Christmas as he has 3 acres and lots of trees and grass needs aeration. It came by delivery and had no damage and all parts were there. He had it together in less than a hour. It seems to work very well. He likes the wheel assembly which allows it to raise off the ground when moving about.

Great! Once you can get it assembled.

This aerator works well…once you get it with all its pieces….and once you get it assembled… First problem, the manufacturer does not package the product well and all the little pieces tear out of their bags so when the box tears they fall out…our first package had that problem. The axle ripped through the box due to poor packaging and the small pieces fell out in shipping. Our second package at least didn't tear through the box (not due to better packaging though) but all the little pieces were loose inside the box so they would have fallen out if it had torn. Second problem, the instructions are abysmal. The pictures contradict each other and are hard to follow. The holes are not drilled to line up well and some were so far off we had to change parts to get it assembled. If however you can get a package that has all its parts and if you can trial and error the instructions enough to get it assembled, it does work well. A few passes on our lawn and it got it well aerated.
