MIYUKI Delica beads are cylindrical in shape. They were created by MIYUKI CO. LTD. in 1982. They were originally created to replace antique French metal 3-cut steel beads, and now theye've become the most popular bead in the world. Preferred by most bead artists, they are typically used for peyote, brick stitch, weaving, and looming projects which require lots of detail. Their cylindrical shape gives each finished piece a clean and unique surface along with an amazing amount of pizzazz.

MIYUKI Delica Finish/Style Definitions:
- AB: Rainbow (AB beads, also known as (Aurora Borealis), are typically beads with a rainbow exterior finish)
- ALAB: Alabaster (Alabaster beads are translucent, with an opal-like exterior finish)
- CEY: Ceylon (Ceylon beads have a luster Pearl or Opal-like finish. Similar to Opaque Luster beads, Ceylon beads are shiny and have a more subdued finish)
- CRY: Crystal (Crystal beads are transparent and similar to Inside Color Lined beads with a clear or dyed exterior. Crystal beads may or may not have an AB exterior finish)
- DURA: Duracoat® (Duracoat® beads have a durable clear exterior coating which is intended for dyed, Silver Lined and Galvanized beads. It’s a thicker/stronger coating than a traditional one, which means the colors will last and retain their brilliance. The Duracoat® coating, unlike TOHO's Perma-Finish coating, will also protect the bead from dulling or flaking)
- FANCY: Fancy Lined (Fancy Lined beads are Transparent, and have an AB interior or exterior finish)
- GALV: Galvanized (Galvanized beads are created using an unstable surface treatment or chemical wash which gives a metallic coating to a transparent bead surface. Galvanized beads are not recommended unless you can't find another bead of a similar color. Duracoat® Galvanized beads have replaced the typical Galvanized bead, and have a much more stable exterior finish)
- ICL: Inside Color Lined (Color Lined beads are dyed and have a transparent exterior finish with a different color on the interior of the bead)
