It Is Huge!!!

I am a big guy (nowhere near 400lbs) and this is a big comfortable chair. Luckily I had a little extra room to move my counter to accommodate its girth. I do wish I had bought the leather one with arms as the material seems a little cheap, and to have the option of arms if I wanted. I wish it was a couple inches taller for my 5' 4" 125lb wife. Though she does like that she can sit in it cross legged or like they told us as kids "Indian style". After 2 weeks it has started to make a clunking noise when I sit in it. Overall we are satisfied with our purchase.

Not so well designed, had to modify

Cushions: are indeed thick, but too firm Foot Rail: 5'8" tall and couldn't reach the rail because the seat was set forward of the rail too far. I moved the seat back and solved the problem. This was done by a very mechanical person. Ordinary people wouldn't be able to do this. The chair works as is only if you are 6'2" or taller. Visually: looked off balance, but this was solved by moving the seat backwards. Massive in size. I bought this chair as it was going to be sturdier than my previous chair which broke. It is definitely sturdy, but it is Massive and not so comfortable. My goal to have it last "forever" will probably be met, and that is the silver lining.

Its OK

The Frame is very rugged, but, I don't think the upholstery is up to par, it is very thin and somewhat wrinkly already and I just took it out of the box. Definitely not the quality of covering that I would expect for this price. I hope it holds up! The chair is much larger that i thought it would be, some of the people that have to sit in it are not at all happy about the size. But , that is what I had to get in order to get the weight rating.
