Innovative Engineering
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Impressive, a lot of thought went into these Hex or Allen wrenches. One may say hex wrenches are just a bent hex metal piece of stock but these could not be farther from the truth. The engineering that went into them creates a superior Hex or Allen wrench. The ends are just slightly tapered or chamfered making them slide right into the fastener or set screw without sacrificing contact with the fastener. This also brings me to the point that the contact point for the wrench is on the flat and not the corners a Excellent design keeping from stripping out the fastener. The T handle design not only provides a good grip but the soft handle makes it comfortable as well and adds to the ability to apply more torque when needed. I used these for adjusting and set screws in odd and tight areas and they worked great. The short end on the handle was great for breaking loose those tough set screws and the long shaft with the T handle was great for getting in odd spots with adjusting screws. This is a set well worth having with both Metric and SAE sizes. The only down side is it does not come with a holder but not really a issue I will be making a wall holder for them very soon. I could not be happier with these wrenches and again a lot of thought went into the engineering a what one may have considered such a simple tool
T Handle Hex set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The T handle hex key set works perfect. the handle fits well in your hand and gives you plenty of grip for torque if you cant get it with the long shaft the short shaft will fit in most places and you still have some grip to hold the tool.
Another Great Tool from Gearwrench!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently picked up the Gearwrench T Handle Key set and put it to work. Once again, Gearwrech has delivered a solid and well-made tool that is a great addition to my tool collection. The allen keys are well constructed and feel very solid in your hand. The T handle solves most of the frustration around using allen keys since it makes it easy to turn to loosen or tighten your fastener. I was making some upgrades to the kids' swing set and found this to be the perfect tool for the rock wall addition. The T-handled keys sped up the process of putting on the rocks. My only negative is I wish there was some sort of included storage solution, as these are just scattered in my toolbox. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a way to speed up dealing with allen keys. These would make a great addition to your next project.
