This lamp fit the bill perfectly, it is very bright and can be adusted to the area you most want it. Other people have complained that the lamp is too short but it is perfect for our use. very good reading lamp
Bought for my mother who needed more light in the evening for either writing or reading. Regular lamps with a lampshade do not provide the type of light you get from the Trademark floor lamp. The Trademark lamp lets you direct the light 'on' your 'writing' or your 'reading'. Also does not take up a lot of space in her small senior apartment. I thought it was pretty easy to put together and was up and working in no time. The base of the lamp was nice & heavy, making it sturdy.
