I use this for my five cats. Before I bought the 4 gallon waterer I had the one gallon waterer. One big plus about the 4 gallon waterer is that I don't need to fill it very often. Second benefit is that before when I was using the 1 gallon waterer my cats would knock the water out all over the floor. Now that I have the 4 gallon waterer I don't have this problem anymore. I ordered 4 more for my dogs outside. So far I'm very happy with this product.
