Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter - PlayStation 2

Underrated masterpiece with a stupendous soundtrack by the great Hitoshj Sakimoto. The systems and gameplay take getting used to but you are fantastically rewarded for your patience. The game is very challenging but it's also very easy to find points in the game where you can "exploit" the system and come away with lots of experience and zenny for your next playthrough. The timer, while intimidating, is not so bad when exploring, you just have to be mindful of when to use your dragon powers.
