It is concerning to me that these winches have received positive reviews, which highlights the questionable nature of the review system. I strongly advise against utilizing these winch ratchets even for light loads, let alone securing heavy cargo on a flatbed. Despite claims that they weigh at least 10 pounds each, they actually weigh only 1.8 pounds. I purchased four units and experienced two break while applying tension, even without the use of a large bar. These winches pose a significant safety risk and should be removed from the website immediately. Attached are images depicting the condition of the winches after only one attempted use. I promptly removed them and will seek a refund. Under no circumstances should these winches be employed for use on any flatbed, as they pose a grave danger to the operator and those in close proximity.
