3M SandBlaster Large Sanding Tool, 3.7 in. x 7 in.

I purchased one of the 3M Sand blaster Pro 3.7” X 7”sanding block a little over 1 month ago and finely got to use it 1 week ago. To say I'm disappointed in this product would be an understatement. It won't hold the sandpaper for but a few strokes and then one end will let loose. When turning the handle 90 degrees and trying to sand get the full 7” the paper comes out immediately. They need to make the grip that holds the paper much stronger. The only sandpaper I've used with this block is 3M Pro Grade paper. When I bought this, if they had had the rubber sanding block with the spikes to hold the paper, I would have bought it instead.

I have bought dozens of these sanders over the years, they were such a great product that I've been known to give them away, especially to kids starting out building stuff. Well the old purple one I had finally gave up the ghost, so I bought 3 new black ones. Not one would hold sandpaper under the lightest sanding. I thought this must be a fluke so I returned them and got 3 more. Same issue. I figured that store must have gotten a bad batch. While downstate I picked up 3 more from a different retailer. Once again the paper just slides out of the clips, I even sprayed some 3m adhesive onto the paper hoping it might help. No luck. 3m this is not the quality or functionality that I've come to expect from any of your products. Please go back to whatever you were doing with the purple sanders that came with kahki paper. These black ones with the purple paper simply do not work at all.
