One versatile very "Sharp" saw!
I've got a large bush in my front flower bed that I have to trim often, and the stems are big enough to require a saw but in very tight places where I can't use a normal reciprocating electric saw so have to do it by hand. I got this Gerber sliding saw as I own two other Gerber knives and their quality is exceptional. The saw is much larger than you would expect, the blade slides into the handle and is locked in place with twist knob on the side. To use you simply loosen the twist knob, slide the blade out to full length, then tighten the twist knob to securely lock the blade in place. Be careful when using, the blade is EXTREMELY sharp and cuts through an object easily. Tried it on my front bush, made a clean cut in no time. I also do wood projects here inside my house and often run into small cutting work that needs to be done in an awkward place that is hard to access, will use this saw as it is perfect for these type of cuts. Would recommend this sliding saw and the other Gerber knives on the market to anyone, these are top quality products! If needed for out of reach cuts, the handle of this saw has a hole on each end so the saw can be lashed to a pole and used to cut an out-of-reach object.
Shocking sharp
I love this new tree limb saw from Gerber. I was a little skeptical about the design but I am sure now of how great it is. The strait out design keeps you from cutting your hand and its safe to carry in a big moving around instead of the old flip up style. Generally used for smart branches like thumb size or so.
Lil saw, wicked cutting ability.
My title just about says it all. This is a must item to have as part of your camp gear. It's compact so it will take minimum space and light weight. One of my pictures has a tape measure so you can see the open length 15" as well as the handle length, 9". The blade slides into the handle instead of folding. I like this because I don't have to worry about it folding back onto your hand during use. I wanted to try the saw out before my next camping trip, so I used it to trim my peach tree. It made short work of limbs that were 2-4" in diameter. The handle was comfortable and allowed me to saw at any angle needed. Bottom line, great sturdy tool. Compact, light weight and easy to store.
