Better for a 15 inch laptop, powerful fan.

it only works with a laptop with a flat bottom, but its perfect for a 15 inch laptop. It will work fine with a 17 inch laptop, its just not wide enough. The fan on this this is great. My 17 inch pavillion has the back battery designed like a back stand to elevate it, so that hangs over the back, or if I sit it correctly on the stand the laptop covers the 2 arms that keep it from sliding off. I reccommend this for a smaller pc, or a pc with a flat bottom. The powerful quiet fan is impressive. The arms that pop out on the bottom need to be lower, and it needs to be wider for a 17 in laptop. The fan is strong enough for a 17 inch LT as link as it has a flat bottom. I had to gewt a bigger more expensive one, one, and the fan is not as good. A flat bottom 15 inch or less would be perfect for this. I wish they made a bigger version of this. The fancy LED lights on coolers make no sense, since the Laptop covers the lights up.

Yes, extend the life of your laptop by keeping the temperature managed to a lower lever. In electronics world, heat kills, so keeping your equipment cool is paramount. This piece took my Toshiba laptop from running at about 170 Deg F while watching video down to around 150 Deg F. That's significant. The ability to adjust the height to eye level is awesome. It's quieter than most anything else out there, and priced well below anything capable of meeting it's performance. Shipped to store in three days time was most convenient.

Does the job

Had a problem with my HP laptop overheating. It can take a while but it does cool it down, I expected the time to be long because of how hot my laptop gets. Fan speed can be adjusted, which I like, blue light gives it a good look and being able to adjust the position is a plus for me. Good buy in my opinion.
