Not what I expected

I certainly wasn't expecting pieces I had to put together. When I install the vinyl "ball" pieces, they pop back out. I just can't get them to stay in. When the top piece pops up where it belongs, the vinyl pieces pop right out. Very disappointed, waiting for it to be delivered so I could put it out.
