Bare Ground MagPlus battery powered sprayer w/ 1 gallon of liquid deicer

I received this item about a week ago. It was a used item and was sticky all over the outside of it and still had droplets of the deicer in it. I don't mind using used items, but it could have at least been cleaned out. I cleaned it out and tried it with the water that was in the tank. it worked, but the handle kept spinning the wrong direction, which is probably why it was returned. I finally figured out that if you pull the handle out it will stay still, but looks a little bent. Would have been nice to have something to tighten it down with, but there is nothing. Didn't come with any instructions so I looked at the picture and it looks like it is just made that way. It seems to work, but won't really know until I put the deicer in it and try it over the winter. I ordered a separate 5 gallon jug of deicer that came the same day and forgot that this unit was supposed to come with a gallon jug of deicer that I did not receive. The box was only big enough for the unit itself. I will be contacting Walmart or the company directly to see where my deicer is. Not sure, if because this was a return that I didn't get instructions or the jug of deicer, but I hope that is the only reason why.

Poor choice for cold country. The battery operated pump does not like to stay on, and the liquid de-icer does not melt snow. It does help with clearing snow on the walk, the snow did not stick like usual. I have re-applied to the front stoop twice and it still hasn't cleared all of the ice. Even though I pre-treated before the storm. It did help with the door . I sprayed the door frame and so far the door has not frozen shut as it used to.
