After cleaning, gently pat the area dry with a clean, soft cloth, ensuring the skin around the wound is completely dry before proceeding with the application. Next, open the Stratacel tube by removing the cap. Squeeze a small amount of the gel onto your clean fingertip or a sterile applicator. Carefully spread a very thin layer of Stratacel directly over the wound or affected area, making sure the entire wound is covered with a thin film. Allow the gel to dry completely, which usually takes about 5-6 minutes. If the gel has not dried within this time, it is likely that you have applied too much. In this case, gently remove any excess gel with a clean tissue or gauze. If needed, you can apply a secondary dressing or bandage over the dried gel, as Stratacel is compatible with most types of dressings. For optimal results, reapply Stratacel twice daily or as directed by your healthcare professional. Always ensure the area is clean and dry before each reapplication. When applying the gel, avoid rubbing it into the wound; it should form a thin layer on the surface. To prevent contamination, do not let the tip of the tube come into contact with the wound or any other surfaces. Store Stratacel in a cool, dry place and keep the tube tightly closed when not in use.
