I've tried a few wall-climbing RC toys before, and this gecko is by far the best one we've owned. I was honestly surprised by how well it performs! It's very easy to operate, and I love that you can use it in two different modes—it can vacuum itself to the wall or simply crawl around on the floor without the suction turned on. The wall-climbing ability is what really impressed me. We had it climbing on a wall that's about 20 feet tall and even spun it all the way back down without it ever feeling like it was going to fall. At one point it even accidentally crawled over a small wall hook, and I expected it to lose suction, but it stayed attached and kept going without any issues. That was incredibly impressive! One small thing to note is that it doesn't always drive perfectly straight when you press the forward or reverse buttons. It has a tendency to curve or turn a bit, so there is a slight learning curve to controlling it. Once you get the hang of it, though, it's easy to drive and doesn't take away from the fun. I could see younger children needing a little extra practice before they really get the controls figured out. The bright colors and lights make it even more fun to watch, and charging is simple. The battery also seems to last quite a while, so we get plenty of playtime between charges. This has ended up being one of those rare toys that everyone in the family enjoys. My kids love it, but my spouse and I have had just as much fun driving it around the walls. If you're looking for a unique RC toy that actually delivers on its wall-climbing claims, I definitely think this one is worth it.
