Transformers, The Japanese Collection: Super God Masterforce (DVD)

Good sequels to the original series (this being the 2nd in a 3-part sequel to the Transformers). The first of the series being 'Headmasters' and the 3rd called 'Victory'. The animation is much improved over the US show. The voice acting is also decent. There is only a subtitle option, no English dub as there is not enough demand to justify paying voice actors to record a whole other vocal track. Of course, they could not find Japanese actors with impressive enough voices to fill the legendary Peter Cullen's (Optimus Prime), Frank Welker's (Megatron), and Chris Latta's (Starscream) shoes. This is unfortunate as Japanese voice actors tend to be better than US voice actors. Overall a good, solid series and a welcome addition to any Transformers fan's collection. Not for the casual viewer though. Judging from the small distribution, most casual viewers will not even know this series exists.
