These are SO comfortable. Soft with a velcro back strap that works for me whether I've got swollen ankles or not. The top is very soft and gives a little but not to the point of stretched out. I purchased the tan and white ones first. I loved them so much I've gotten the blue and black ones as well. I live in Florida - sandals are good almost all year round here. A great purchase!
