Dorman 696-138 Engine Air Intake Hose for Specific Honda Models, Black Fits select: 2009-2015 HONDA PILOT

Like many other 2nd gen Honda Pilots, my air intake had a small tear. The main reason for the tear is attributed to the VCM -- the eco mode tech. VCM, over a hundreds of thousands of miles causes some engine mounts to malfunction. That causes the engine to shake, which results in the air intake to tear. In any event, if you end up in that situation, the Dorman intake hose is a perfect replacement. It is a tight fit -- so the best advice is to put a little bit of high temp grease on the edges before sliding the hose onto the openings. Beyond that, it's perfect. I have had it on for around 10k miles and no complains. I have also muzzled the VCM so this should last for the life of the car.
