Got this for looks more than use. While I'm sure we'll use it come fall and tea weather, I got it to set on my stove just got the look. I always remember my grandmother having one on her stove so it was more of a nostalgic impulse and I have no regrets. I love how retro it looks! The shine is finicky though. I'm careful to wipe it down with a soft cloth, to not dull the shine. It is heavy duty and doesn't appear cheap looking at all while still being affordable! As you can see in the photo, it stays on the stove and takes a beating with grease stains but I polish em right off with a soft towel and it looks new again.

So I was over the moon to be able to use this for a Mother's Day tea party Bridgerton style. We all dressed fancy and had sweets and an assortment of tea. This kettle heated ip enough water to make several cups of tea. I actually used to heat water up in the microwave to make tea. But it's much more sophisticated to heat water in the kettle on the stove. I had actually never done it before but it was pretty self-explanatory when it whistles it's ready. I highly recommend this kettle for any hot water needs whether it is for tea or cocoa or instant coffee or Ramen.
