There is a lot to say here, to prepare to read.
The TL;DR version: while it's a good watch for the money, it's lacking in fitness tracking and too finicky to be strongly recommended.
To the nitty gritty:
For the money, you can't really complain. You could buy a nice watch for the same amount, and this one gives you the standard smartwatch features like controlling your music, seeing your messages, calendar, phone calls, etc. Not bad.
Display: screen is nice and bright and visible. There are dozens of different watch faces to choose from. I will say the screen doesn't stay on very long; maybe three seconds, which, believe it or not, is a short time for me to look at whatever I want to look at. The font for messages and such is still fairly small and not particularly attractive, but it's functional.
Battery life is outstanding. It really will last 9 to 10 days if you economize. I'd say it'll easily go five days if you are using it for all kinds of stuff.
Comfort is a bit lacking. While I didn't find the watch itself hot or anything, the band is uncomfortable. Either it was a little loose, or the metal hinges on the band dug into my skin a little.
It does seem waterproof, although I'll say the screen was wigging out every which way underwater. I don't know if something was hitting what, but it would jump to my heart rate and then my music and my calendar and all kinds of stuff. So while it does hold up underwater, I probably would take it off before going in water.
Its biggest weakness for me is the fitness tracking. The heart rate monitor is mostly okay, but it's finicky. Walking down the hall, it'd say my heart rate was 130, and when I was jogging, my heart rate was 90. To be fair, it gets the heart rate right more often than not, but it's wrong often enough that if you want precision, this is not the watch for you.
Its calorie tracking is also kind of a bummer: it only tracks your "active" calories, whatever that means. So for a whole day, I burned 343 calories, according to it. So if you want to track calories during exercise, cool. But if you want all-day tracking, like I do, this is not the phone for you.
Speaking of exercise, let's get into the app. The companion app is okay, but fairly lacking. It tracks heart rate, sleep, active calories, and blood oxygen level. Supposedly, you can tell it you're about to exercise, but the watch doesn't auto-detect it. The four standard exercises are running, cycling, jump rope, and badminton. There are about a hundred other exercises listed, but I couldn't get it to change to any of them.
Some of the app screens are still in Chinese and not translated to English, which isn't helpful. All in all, I didn't think much of the app.
The watch is not compatible with any other fitness tracking apps. Google Health, MyFitnessPal, Garmin, none of them recognize or talk to the watch or the accompanying app (called GloryFit, by the way).
So, in the end, I didn't like it and bought a Fitbit.
