These are better made than I expected. The rubber is thick and sturdy where it needs to be. The horizontal strip of rubber around the outside of the shoe what looks like the white platform isn't perfectly aligned where it's glued together in one spot but it's not sloppy either with glue splotches where they shouldn't be. The material feels like a highly polished partially synthetic partially cotton fabric. It actually feels nicer than suede or cotton in some ways and could be mistaken for either leather or cloth because it doesn't have a shine like leather but it's not as rough as cloth and it doesn't feel like plastic or handy wipes. There's not a lot of arch support but there's plenty of cushion and it's nice to have little tab so that we can get the shoe on without crushing the heel of it or using our finger for a shoe spoon. They're not as wide as I would like but they're a little wider than the typical women's shoe being unisex so I only have to wear a half size bigger than I really need to get the shoe wide enough. Overall I would say they are quite cute. If you have a high end step you may find that the top of the shoe doesn't cover as much of the tongue as you might like when it's laced up. There's no gap but I found it strange with my feet being relatively flat that the sides of the shoe didn't seem perfectly parallel all the way to the end of the tongue as though they had not actually accounted for a person having a sloping instep. It's hard to describe but As though they used a little less material in the sides of the shoe near the top of the laced part so that there's not quite as much on both sides to meet in the middle as parallel and that might mean that the tongue would slip around a little bit when you walk. I've tried them on and walked back and forth but have not taken long journeys or worn them for a period of time yet. But they look more expensive than they are and it is a beautiful black shade and snow white rubber so they are strikingly cute. If you're looking for a casual fun shoe that you're not going to hike in or work in all day and you don't have very wide feet or very high insteps and aren't in need of a lot of arch support you'll probably enjoy these. I noticed that a lot of these shoes that come from China lump 6.5 Mens/7.5 womens in with 7M/8W And those are not the same size. That meant that they were a little long for me and should have meant that they were plenty wide enough. Being unisex they weren't as wide as men's shoes and that meant that they were barely wide enough even though the shoe was 1/2 a size long. So I can't say they run big or small but they run narrow for men's shoes and they treat a 38 and the 39 as the same size.
