X450 RC Airplane, 2.4G Remote Control 6 Channel Brushless Motor Aircraft, Vertical Takeoff LED RC Glider Fixed Wing Plane RTF

I read many reviews on this Wltoys X450 Drone / Plane before buying one. Like many reviews, one must be able to read between the lines. If I had believed half of the negative things being said in the reviews about the X450, I never would have purchased the X450. But I did, and I really couldn't be much happier. Granted, like any thing that flies, there's a learning curve. If the x450 isn't set correctly, it's almost impossible to control. But out of the box, all that it needs is a fresh charge on the battery, and new batteries in the controller. Now I'm not the best pilot around, not even close, but I had the plane flying in all modes in about an hours flight time. Of course that flight time was spread out over a couple of days, but what I'm saying is this plane is very easy to master. Quality? I have well over 15 hrs of flight time on this plane and has not had one failure. The plane has seen more than one crash without being damaged. It was landed hard on grass, flown into a tree at least once, and even clipped a pole. Granted, it was never nosed into the ground, which I imagine would cause some serious damage. Ages? Well, I've been teaching my Grandson how to fly for the past couple of years. He's now 8 going on 9. I only get to see him a couple of weeks a year, so it's not like I have gotten a lot of time with him. But this year he took off, few, and landed a fixed wing plane. I am very sure that he'll be ready for the X450 next year. He already flies that model on the flight simulator. If your youngster has been flying for awhile, it's a pretty safe bet that they''ll have no problems flying the X450. If you can fly at all, you'll love this little plane. Even the old timers at the flight park are amazed at what this plane will do. Once again, a lot of fun, and a good value for the price, and would make a great gift. This model was purchased in early 2023 for not much over a hundred bucks. Pretty sure that like everything else, the price has gone up. No doubt that this was a heck of a deal at the time. Fun little VTOL plane. Can hover and cruise horizontally, vertically, or zoom in forward flight. Transitioning between these modes provides even more enjoyment. Tilt servos react fast, and stabilization firmware is very accommodating. Comes with everything you need. Instructions are horrendous.
