These are just to cover up an eye-splice, you have to mechanically bind (like sewing) the eye and cover it with the plastic piece. I think they work well for what they are intended. My only concern is the "U" shaped piece has small barbs that are sorta easy to break off.

There is no way to actually secure cord or rope inside this clamp, so when you create a loop and then pull on the cord/rope it just comes right out. The design is aesthetically pleasing, but the actual execution is terrible. I don't think anyone actually made sure this works as advertised. Doesn't come with instructions or suggestions for use. Garbage product.
