The pretty color and pattern of this rug caught our eye right away and that’s why we wanted to try it. You don’t normally see scalloped edges and lacy patterns on rugs. Most rugs are stripes, florals, or geometric patterns. This runner rug looks exactly like the product images. In person, we love the heather blue color. You don’t see that too much anymore either. And yes, as it appears, the design is just printed on the rug. And yes, what they call an “ultra-soft, low pile rug” is soft. Although, we’d call it no pile. It’s pretty flat, but that’s okay. The construction quality looks good. The edges are stitched well, and the bottom does have the rubber coating. It’s not applied as thickly as we’ve seen on other rugs in the past, but it should do. The rug comes folded up in a package. It’s a pretty light weight. It did have an odor, so it went right to the washing machine and then to air dry. That process got the creases out nicely. The 2 x 6 foot sizing for a runner rug is correct. It looks good in the hallway. Just a few notes from the instructions. It says you can vacuum it without a beater bar. Hmm? We can’t turn the beater bar off on our vacuum, so that sounds more like either using the hose attachments or a dust buster vacuum (or robot vacuum). Machine washing (but not too frequently) is okay, but no tumble drying. It’s got to be hung out to dry. And it’s interesting that you can steam iron it. LOL! We don’t iron anything, much less a rug! All in all, this is a very nice looking rug. It’s not the most high end rug we’ve ever owned, but for the price and where we wanted to put it, it doesn’t need to be. It’s nice that these rugs come in a variety of sizes so you can mix and match if you’re creating a room ensemble. We’d still recommend getting one for the decorative value. We’re pleased with it. That’s why we’re giving the rug five stars.
