Snow tires

Bought these as I needed new winter tires. So far they've been great! Live in a very northern state and rarely feel any slipping/sliding in the snow. I did get them studded as well. Will re-purchase when I need new ones!

I got these Ice Edges for my mom's car

I got these for my mom's 2000 Buick LeSabre. Her all-seasons couldn't get out of the driveway even with a little snow. They were bad in winter, even with a heavy car. With the Sumitomos, it was completely the opposite. She said her car doesn't even hesitate getting out of the driveway, even with ice on it, and this year was bad with ice. She also said she feels a lot more confident when driving on winter roads. I asked her if they were noisy. She said she could hear the difference, but nothing annoying. Also, before I had the tires mounted, I got them studded. I also have these tires on my Toyota Yaris, but unstudded. I wasn't sure how well they'd do, because it's only a little over 2300 lbs, but the car is a unit in snow. There has been a few times I've pushed snow with the front bumper to the point it almost stalled. It's only 1.5L 106hp stick shift. But the tires wouldn't lose grip in dry snow. Slushy snow isn't quite as much traction in my driveway, bc it's basically icy mud, but I never got stuck with them. I would recommend getting studded if you're in an area that gets glare ice. My next set I'll get studded.

Works well, pretty heavy and little noisy w/ studs

Takes me to point A to point B very well with minimal treadwear. Makes my sedan feel like a van on dry road with stufs, but it feels good braking on wet/icey roads. If you choose to stud these tires, order your tires at a tire shop for reduced cost, take it elsewhere, and have another shop stud them because some places don't like to service tires that have been mounted already like Les Schwabb.
